Citrix + Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) = Project Trinity
At iForum Global 2006 Citrix announced its official entrance into the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) space via a set of technologies codenamed Project Trinity. Project Trinity builds on several existing Citrix technologies such as Remote Desktop Broker and PortICA. Project Trinity is still taking shape as it emerges. Luckily, you can follow the progress of Project Trinity at citrixcommunity.com.

Well Citrix better be getting used to being a “me too” company.
Provision Networks is already delivering “trinity” today: http://www.provisionnetworks.com/solutions/vas/vas.aspx
Not to mention that every other technology they’ve purchased in the last 2 years faces stiff competition from much bigger or better rivals such as F5, Juniper, Cisco, Riverbed, Expand AND Microsoft who deliver SSL VPN, Acceleration, Load Balancers etc…
Unless Citrix begins to innovate again, she will not have a bright future.

Citrix has a huge future doing exactly what they are doing. And really whats bad about Citrix offering its customers a solution. All of there latest aquistions are being intergrated together, no other vendor is doing this. Not to mention I use most of the aforemented technology and most of it is good. But the latest Citrix releases are years ahead of those vendors.
