triCerat acquires DABCC Advanced Print Manager
triCerat, Inc. has recently acquired DABCC Advanced Print Manager. Douglas Brown of DABCC created the Advanced Print Manager some time ago to address issues related to failed print driver auto creation in a Terminal Server environment. In a nutshell, Advanced Print Manager scans your event logs for failed printer creation events and gives you an interface to install native drivers on the selected servers or add a compatibility entry.
triCerat, Inc. makes a product called “ScrewDrivers” that creates virtual printers on the fly to eliminate much of the headache involved in managing printers in a Terminal Server environment.
It will be interesting to see how/if these products are blended together to provide even more relief for the #1 headache of Terminal Server administrators.
